Children's Candlelight Parade & Holiday Tree Lighting

Gather for hot cider in the Davis Food Co-op parking lot (620 G St.); line-up at 5:30p; parade steps off at 6p and marches downtown to E St. Plaza for the holiday tree lighting, live performances, Santa & Mrs. Clause & horse rides. Plus, catch one of three free screenings of How the Grinch Stole Christmas at Varsity Theatre (6p, 6:40p, 7:20p). Insider tip: park in the garage at 4th & G – it’s a whole lot closer when you’re walking back from the E St. plaza with a tired toddler.

Humbug!” Scrooge summates his feelings of Christmas tidings and charitable giving, but he’s forced to face his selfish ways when three ghosts on Christmas Eve lead him through his Past, Present and Future. Thanks to their guidance, Scrooge recognizes his faults and greets Christmas morning with a cheerful “Happy Christmas”. Fri @ 7p, Sat & Sun @ 2p.
